KMA Emergency Services in partnership with REACH Air Medical Services and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital has a unique opportunity for an experienced nationally certified paramedic.  Our Neonate and Pediatric Emergency Transport Team services Northern and Central California and is based in the East San Francisco Bay City of Oakland California.  As the only team of its kind in the State of California consisting of a Neonate Critical Care RN from REACH Air with Neonate trained Critical Care EMT’s and Paramedics from KMA Emergency Services, this tight knit group of EMS professionals has become one of the most sought after medical teams requested multiple times a day to rescue premature babies and kids of all ages from dozens of Hospitals throughout California.  Every one of our responses is a life-threatening emergency with families and other health care teams counting on us to get there in time and to quickly take control of these very complex and unique patients.

We are a tight knit team and personality fit within the team is part of what makes this group so special.  Attitudes are infectious and are so very important when we are helping people manage through this unfamiliar patient population.  Are you our next Paramedic, we hope so, here is what we are looking for;

• Minimum of one year experience in a moderate to high volume 911 system

• One full time and up to two additional part-time paramedic openings

• Nationally Certified as a Paramedic

• Willingness to work 24 hour shifts

• Must be PALS and NRP certified within 60 days of employment

Selected candidates are not required to have prior experience in a similar role.  Our Team will train all new employees and consists of a combination of skills-based training and competency-based sign offs that take place over a one to two months period.  Once new employees are fully signed off and comfortable, they are assigned a permanent shift of two 24 hour shifts a week for full time employees and per diem for part time assignments.
