Dispatches From Hurricain Katrina
Westmed/McCormick sent their Disaster Support Unit Strike Team to Louisiana on Friday September 2, 2005 to respond to hurricain Katrina disaster.

Westmed has become fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). CAAS Accreditation signifies that Westmed's service has met the "gold standard" as determined by the ambulance industry. The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services was established to encourage and promote quality patient care in America's medical transportation system. The CAAS standard for the medical transportation industry signifies a higher caliber than is typically required for state or local licensing. The exacting and demanding process to receive CAAS accreditation provides verification to the community that Westmed's quality of care is of the highest standard. Westmed is proud to be associated with an organization like the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services which helps promote the best standards for the entire ambulance industry.

Centinela Freeman’s campuses are located next to Los Angeles International Airport, the 405 Freeway, and the Marina del Rey Freeway.
