Mercy Medical Transport, Inc. was founded in 1993. With 40 employees, the company currently operates emergency ambulance services under contract with Mariposa County, California, as the County's sole paramedic advanced life support (ALS) provider. Mercy of Mariposa also houses the centralized billing office for the Mercy Westmed family of companies.

Since November 2003, Mercy Medical Transportation-Valley Center serves as the exclusive ALS 9-1-1 provider for the Valley Center Fire Protection District in San Diego County.

The company operates emergency and non-emergency ambulance services for Santa Clara County, California, as well as providing ALS and basic life support (BLS) ambulance transport services.
