Erik Mandler-MBA (EMT-P.ret)

Prior to joining Westmed in 2007, Mr. Mandler held senior leadership positions as a Director of Operations, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for two of the nation's largest ambulance companies, overseeing operations throughout many parts of California. His prior experience includes the direct management of 911 paramedic systems in San Diego, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. Prior to joining Westmed, Mr. Mandler managed many large scale Hospital contracts including Kaiser Hospitals, Tenant Health Hospitals, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Martin Luther King Care Center, and the Adventist Hospitals to name a few. Mr. Mandler has designed 911 service delivery models for over 60 Cities throughout California and the Southwest. He brings his expertise in managing high priority performance based ambulance transportation to the Non Emergency and Critical Care Transportation environment.

Richard Roesch, CPA

Mr. Roesch began his career in EMS in 1979 providing financial oversight as the Chief Financial Officer for International Life Support (ILS) Ambulance Service in Hawaii. Upon earning his CPA license in 1984, Mr. Roesch began providing financial consulting with several Southern California ambulance providers. With his knowledge and experience in facing the financial challenges of the ambulance industry, Mr. Roesch founded the first of several medical transportation companies in 1987, including Westmed Ambulance Inc, KMA Emergency Services Inc, and Mercy Medical Transportation Inc. As a CPA with sound financial insight and solid business credentials, Mr. Roesch is a recognized ambulance-industry leader.

Wendy Weston, MBA
Director of Finance and Administration

Mrs. Weston oversees all accounting, finance, payroll, accounts payables and insurance/benefits administration. Prior to coming to Westmed, Mrs. Weston held senior positions as a divisional financial controller with Adecco Staffing and Rehrig Pacific Company. Mrs. Weston has been with Westmed since 2007, bringing over 14 years of financial experience in the services and manufacturing industries.

Chris Seymour, MA. NEMTP
Advanced Life Support/Risk & Safety Manager

Mr. Seymour brings over a decade of experience with various Westmed companies. Mr. Seymour oversees all risk and safety compliance programs and coordinates all ALS services throughout Northern California Prior to his current role with Westmed, Mr. Seymour was a Managing Director for our Monterey County division overseeing paramedic and ambulance coverage for over 300 events annually, at such high profile venues as the Laguna Seca Raceway and the Pebble Beach Golf Tournaments. Mr. Seymour recently completed his Master's Degree in Leadership from Loyola University.

Suzanne Johnson, DR
Medical Director

Dr. Johnson is an Emergency Room Physician at Alameda Hospital and former Medical Director for Monterey County. Dr. Johnson brings over a decade of emergency medical experience to her role as Westmed's Medical Director. She is well-published and has extensive experience necessary to oversee Westmed's paramedic and critical care transport programs. Dr. Johnson is active in the day-to-day operations and oversees all clinical standards, compliance and QA/QI programs for the Westmed ALS and CCT divisions.

Coleen Cotter EMT
Managing Director – Northern California

Mrs. Cotter is one of the original employees of Westmed. She has distinguished herself as an experienced manager by having worked her way up from her days as an Emergency Medical Technician on an ambulance. Mrs. Cotter is a customer favorite and has established herself as a "can do" manager for Westmed's customers. As a local industry icon, all customers know they can reach her day or night with a phone call and have their issues taken care of immediately. Mrs. Cotter has been with Westmed since its inception in 1995, overseeing day to day field operations and the Westmed Call Center.

Clay Vance – MSN CCT-RN
Clinical Care Coordinator

Mr. Vance brings 18 years of experience to his role at Westmed, including vast experience as a Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Manger, Critical Care Transport Nurse and a Travel Nurse. In addition, he has worked in large level-one trauma centers to small community hospitals. As the Critical Care Coordinator RN Mr. Vance provides direction, supervision, evaluation of other CCT RN's, and assists the medical director with protocols and policy adherence.
