Description:
Westmed Ambulance is seeking dispatchers who are friendly, efficient, and effective telecommunicators. This position serves as the first and primary link between the company, its employees, its customers, patients, and medical facility personnel where patients are picked up or transported. Candidates must possess a strong ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously. They must also demonstrate efficient performance during intense and stressful situations. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Requirements:

  • Must be currently certified as an EMT or greater, or 6 months of relative experience.
  • Successfully complete the company’s orientation and training process and prove familiarization with company policies and procedures.
  • Meet job requirements following all dispatch protocols
  • Positively represent the company by demonstrating a positive attitude at all times.
  • Maintain dispatch skill proficiency while being strictly accountable to county and state regulations.
  • Obey all company polices and procedures.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and be available to report to work when given reasonable notice.
  • Be willing to assume other job responsibilities as assigned.

Emergency Medical Technician:

Senior Field Training Officer(s)

Description:
Westmed Ambulance is seeking pleasant, caring, and qualified Emergency Medical Technicians for its ambulance field operations. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, offering compassionate patient care, performing medical treatments, operating EMS equipment, and driving an ambulance. All applicants must meet insurability requirements as set forth by the company’s insurance provider and company guidelines. Applicants must possess all current licenses and certifications required of a California EMT.

Requirements:

  • Successfully complete the company’s orientation and training process and prove familiarization with company policies and procedures.
  • Meet job requirements by following all applicable EMS protocols.
