Westmed ambulance is currently seeking motivated Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics for our Southern California operations.
The selection process to bring employees into the organization is focused on recruiting individuals who are "service oriented". We believe that the most important asset that any organization has is its employees. The entire management staff at Westmed understands and fully appreciates the job of the EMT. Every single manager has spent a significant duration of their career in the field and on the streets as EMTs and Paramedics. We are not administration that previously worked for non EMS related companies who are now trying our hand at running an ambulance company.

The following items are required in order for us to consider candidates for employment:
- Valid State of California EMT-1 Certificate
- Valid State of California Driver’s License
- Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Motor Vehicle Report H6MVR – current within three days of submission
- Application for Employment
- Driving Record Notice
Candidates who are non-California drivers must submit a driving record from the state where they are currently licensed.

- Drug/Alcohol Screen
- Functional Assessment Test
- Patient Care Simulation
- Map Navigation Test
- Written Examination
- Physical Examination
