Westmed Ambulance is fully credentialed by the State of California and numerous municipalities and is in possession of all necessary certificates and licenses. The company’s principals themselves are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and have kept current with all requirements necessary to operate and provide licensed ambulance service in the State of California.
Westmed is fully certified by the California Highway Patrol to conduct business in the State of California. Westmed also maintains full workers’ compensation and liability insurance coverage. The billing office accepts both Medicare and Medi-Cal as payment for services in addition to dozens of private insurances and HMOs.
Westmed is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). CAAS Accreditation signifies that Westmed's service has met the "gold standard" determined by the ambulance industry to be essential in a modern emergency medical services provider. CAAS standards often exceed those established by state or local regulation.

Westmed’s state-of-the-art computer-aided dispatch center operates around the clock and is equipped with a fully isolated power backup system to ensure uninterrupted communication with employees in the field. Westmed issues all employees alpha-numeric pagers to ensure call receipt redundancy. Advanced two-way trunking radios operate on 14 individual, primary and tactical channel assignments from several repeater locations.
